ADMINISTRATIVE LAW

Our Administrative Law practice covers a wide array of regulatory matters before various administrative agencies. One of the primary aspects of our work in this area is the representation of property owners and general construction contractors before the New York City Environmental Control Board ("ECB"), the administrative agency responsible for adjudicating alleged violations of New York City’s "quality of life" laws – laws that are most frequently found in the City’s Administrative Code or the Rules of the City of New York.

We also defend property owners in New York City Criminal Court against violations of New York City Fire Department rules, which set forth fire safety requirements, including permit and certificate requirements. We have had great success in this area negotiating favorable settlements on behalf of our clients.

In our Administrative Law practice, we also represent clients in matters before the New York State Department of Environmental Conversation ("DEC"), the state agency responsible for adjudicating, among other things, violations of the New York State Environmental Conservation Law.

Our Administrative Law practice also extends to representing clients in matters before the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs ("DCA"). Our clients in this area are often business owners who sell goods to consumers, and we regularly refute DCA’s claims of fraud and other wrongdoing and/or negotiate favorable settlements on behalf of our clients.

In addition, we prosecute and defend against Article 78 proceedings before the New York State Supreme Court.
